Living Well with a Disability is a ten-week peer-facilitated health promotion workshop for people with disabilities. Workshops are offered through Centers for Independent Living and other organizations in many communities across the country.
Participants in the Living Well with a Disability program learn the life skills they need to set and achieve quality-of-life goals and the important role health plays in helping them reach their dreams. The program was developed by RTC:Rural and is based on the Independent Living philosophy which recognizes that individual choice and self-determination are essential components of living independently in the community.
